Meiji - Chocolate and Potato (Japan) I first tried the Meiji Chocolate and Potato on my second day in Japan. The snack didn't seem that odd since I frequently ate chocolate covered pretzels and had previously tried chocolate covered potato chips. The Meiji Chocolate and Potato was a no-frills snack that consisted of potato sticks (yes - the same kind found in school lunches) covered with a mild milk chocolate. While the first package I finished was great, the one I traveled home with tasted aged and the chocolate was dry. I'd buy this snack for the novelty alone. Company website: www.meiji.co.jp |
