Morinaga - Marshmallow Pie (Japan) As a child, my mom used to pack my school lunches with a marshmallow pie for dessert. As I grew older, she used to make me hide the marshmallow MalloMars and Pinwheels in my bedroom so my father wouldn't find them. I ate a handful of the Morinaga marshmallow pies while wandering around Japan, and at about the size of a half-dollar they were perfect for a light, sweet snack. The chocolate cake reminded me of a Sacher-Torte, while the inside marshmallow creme was light and fluffy. I probably ate at least one of these a day while in Japan. Watch out MalloMars!
