Will the real caramel please stand up! - A Caramel Tasting I've always liked caramel. Every snack, ice cream, candy bar, anything with caramel - I want it. Sometimes, I even enjoy items with the odd butter caramel flavor (*A Caramel Comparison). What i've found from traveling is that caramels are popular and can be found globally, from Nice, France to Tokyo, Japan. Although I knew of some different flavors of caramels, I didn't realize how many varieties existed until recently. A few months back I noticed that Vosges began selling a caramel sampler at a pricey sum. I figured I'd wait until I heard some feedback prior to making the purchase. At Tokyo airport, I spotted this neat trio caramel assortment.
