Morinaga's - Kurogoma Caramel (Japan) I purchased the Morinaga's Kurogoma Caramel, packaged along with the milk and Kokutou caramels, before I left Tokyo at Narita airport. The Kurogoma caramel is a sesame seed based caramel, and is smooth and soft like the standard milk caramel. The caramel has an unusual gray color and a subtle flavor upon initial tasting. However, after a bit of chewing the candy leaves a heavy sesame aftertaste. I typically enjoy caramels and also sesame flavored candy, but I'm not enticed by the sight of gray colored sweets (the gray coloring is likely from the black sesame).
